Daria A. Scala is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy where she teaches courses in ecological economics and sustainability. She is also a policy analyst with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, United States Department of Agriculture. Scala earned her bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with a minor in German. She holds a master’s degree in sustainable development and conservation biology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her doctoral degree in public policy is from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy. Scala’s research interests include agricultural water quality, the economic system and its impacts on sustainability, and the policymaking process.
