Regan is a PhD candidate at the School of Public Policy, where his research focuses on democracy and culture in Southeast Asia, U.S. foreign relations, sustainable development and Buddhist ethics. Regan has served as a historian in the U.S. Department of State's Office of the Historian since 2016 and previously served in the Department's Office of Inspector General and the National Archives and Record Administration's Presidential and Legislative Unit in the Office of the Federal Register. He received a BA and MA in history from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Regan is also a member of several Southeast Asian performing arts organizations in the greater Washington DC area.
