April is Child Abuse Prevention Month—a time for us to come together as a community to raise awareness and show our commitment to protecting children and supporting families.
The Karabelle Pizzigati Initiative Fellows are organizing this effort in coordination with National Child Abuse Awareness Month, and we invite you to participate on April 14th in two meaningful ways:
Wear Blue
Show your support by wearing blue throughout the day as a visible sign of solidarity and advocacy for child abuse prevention.
Plant Pinwheels for Prevention
Join us at Thurgood Marshall Hall Lawn (facing Regents Drive) from 3:30–5:30 PM as we plant pinwheels—national symbols of hope, resilience, and the bright futures all children deserve. Pinwheels will be available for purchase and your support will go towards the services needed to stop child abuse in our community.
This event is part of a broader effort to raise awareness and support critical services that help prevent child abuse in our community. Your presence, whether by wearing blue, attending the planting, or both, makes a powerful statement.
