At this event, Matthew Gidden, Deputy Director of the Joint Global Change Research Institute, will discuss the role and processes of the IPCC.

Abstract: The IPCC oversees critical assessment reports on the state of the latest available climate science. I will discuss the role of these reports in the context of the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement and highlight key scientific insights from each of its three Working Groups. I will then highlight the process and timeline for the development of the 7th Assessment Report.
