This September, the World Development accepted for publication a collaborative research project between Susan Parker, professor at the School of Public Policy, PhD graduate Cynthia Boruchowicz and Lindsay Robbin MPP '21.
This research, titled “Time Use of Youth during a Pandemic: Evidence from Mexico” is one of the first publications to examine the pattern of time used to study by young people before and after the pandemic in Mexico. It also looks at the effect of the pandemic on schooling and school enrollment.
"I really enjoyed collaborating with Cynthia and Lindsey on this project,” said Parker. “We met weekly on Zoom throughout the school year to progress continuously, and we were very motivated to get the study results out quickly given its relevance to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
World Development is a monthly peer-reviewed academic journal that works with scholars to make the journal the preeminent vehicle for conveying research findings in the field of development.
