SPP Dean Robert C. Orr Elected as Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration

The University of Maryland School of Public Policy is pleased to announce that Dean Robert C. Orr has been elected a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA). The National Academy of Public Administration was created to “help public sector leaders meet the important and varied challenges of today and anticipate those of the future.” NAPA is one of only two national academies (joining the National Academy of Sciences) chartered by Congress to provide expert, objective advice.

This recent election bring the School’s total number of NAPA fellows to 10. Orr joins the SPP faculty at NAPA, including Kenneth S. Apfel, I.M. ‘Mac’ Destler, Elizabeth M. Duke, Jacques Gansler, Philip Joyce, Donald F. Kettl, J. Christopher Mihm and Susan Schwab.
