Speaker Bios:

Lena Andrews, PhD: Lena Andrews is an associate research professor in the University of Maryland School of Public Policy and an affiliate of the Center for International and Security Studies (CISSM). Before joining SPP, Andrews was a military analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency and worked at the RAND Corporation.

Rawan A. Latif, PharmD: Rawan Latif is a manager at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips where she focuses on health and Medicaid policy. Latif also serves as a Major in the U.S. Air Force as the Immunizations and Pharmacy Officer in Charge at the 911th Aeromedical Staging Squadron. She recently led the 316th Medical Squadron’s pharmacy migration to a new electronic health record.

Aubrey R. Paris, PhD: Aubrey Paris is the Senior Policy Advisor on Gender, Climate Change, and Innovation in the Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues at the U.S. Department of State where she leads foreign policy and public diplomacy efforts related to the nexus of gender equality and climate change.

Carm M. Saimbre, MPS-PA (Moderator): Carm Saimbre is a public affairs professional who currently works as a Community Relations Manager for the State Highway Administration (SHA) where she oversees communications with internal and external customers regarding SHA’s projects, programs and operations in Prince George’s County, MD.
