SEEC Documentary Viewing: "An American Ascent"

Back to All Events
Memorial Chapel in winter

Join SEEC for a viewing of the documentary “An American Ascent” via Zoom on February 26th at 4:00 p.m to celebrate Black History Month! This multi-award-winning film documents nine Black climbers who set out to climb Denali, the highest peak in the US while talking about race and the often overlooked lack of inclusion and representation outdoors. After watching (about an hour-long) we hope to chat about takeaways and implications from the film.

It goes without saying, that environmentalists should be having these conversations every day. Specifically, to celebrate Black History Month, we hope you will join us to bring awareness to the challenges and triumphs Black people encounter in environmental/outdoor spaces. Please contact for more information!
