Join us for the 2026 Karabelle Pizzigati Initiative Lunch and Learn Series!

Join us for Advocacy 101, an interactive lunch and learn designed to prepare participants for Advocacy Day at the Maryland State House. This session will provide a foundational understanding of advocacy and equip attendees with the tools and confidence needed to engage effectively with Maryland Delegates and Senators.

Participants will learn:

  • What advocacy is and why it matters
  • How state policies impact children, youth, and families
  • Best practices for meeting with elected officials
  • How to share your story and advocate for issues like literacy, juvenile justice reform, and child safety

This session is required for Advocacy Day participants and is open to anyone interested in learning how to advocate for positive change. Lunch will be provided, and ample time will be dedicated to questions and discussion.

Whether you’re new to advocacy or looking for a refresher, this session will ensure you’re informed, prepared, and ready to make your voice heard.This interactive session offers a unique opportunity to learn, share, and connect around strategies that are shaping the future of children’s policy and practice.
