Emily Dobson is a Karabelle Pizzigati fellow and PhD student in the School of Public Policy. Dobson will discuss how research informs policy for social impact focusing on the government’s role in supporting children, the history of federal investments in children’s economic security and insights from her work on the Child Tax Credit.
Prior to joining the PhD program, Dobson attended the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, where she earned a Master of Public Policy with honors. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in Gender Studies from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Outside of school, Dobson enjoys cooking, the outdoors and chasing after her two kids with the help of her husband, Noel.
