Speaker bio: Abidah B. Setyowati is an environmental social scientist with extensive experience working in the science-policy interface. She is currently a senior social development specialist (climate change) with the World Bank, anchoring and leading the work on Social Dimensions of Climate Change in East Asia and the Pacific. Her work and expertise focus on climate and natural resources governance, biodiversity conservation, nature-based climate solutions, energy governance, climate justice, climate finance, and social inclusion. Prior to joining the Bank, Abidah had over a decade of experience working as an academic with the Australian National University and the Delft University of Technology and as a senior international development practitioner providing technical advice to and managing programs with multilateral and donor agencies. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Geography from Rutgers University.
