Mr. Daryl Lucas, UMD alum and HR Director for the World Bank Group, will be at Van Munching Hall on Friday, December 3 from 12 pm – 1:15 pm for a special Employer Information Session about the World Bank.

The World Bank Group is a leading global international financial institution that provides loans and grants to the governments of low- and middle-income countries for the purpose of pursuing capital projects. The WBG wields enormous political and financial power on the global stage and shapes international and domestic policies around the world.

Daryl has spent over twenty years working in the public sector, and currently serves as HR Director, Employment Policy, Compensation and Systems at The World Bank Group. Previously, Daryl served as HR Manager for the Sustainable Development Practice Groups, as well as the Latin American and Caribbean and Europe and Central Asia Regions. Prior to joining the WBG, Daryl spent nearly fifteen years in the US Federal government as the Director for the Rockville Human Resources Center, with the US Department of Health and Human Services, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Administration on Aging (AoA), the Substance Abuse and Mental health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and the Office of the Secretary.
