Campaign Conversations: Organizing 101

Black Students in Public Policy (BSiPP), in collaboration with Women in Public Policy (WiPP), the School of Public Policy, and the University Career Center, will host a discussion about what it takes to conduct a campaign for public office. Our guests, representing various roles, will share how they turned their passion for essential issues into advocacy for others and how they navigated situations they’ve encountered as members of underrepresented communities.

Panelists include:

  • Senator Will Smith, Maryland State Senate
  • Wandra Ashely-Williams, Maryland Regional Director of Climate XChange and NAACP National Board Member
  • Alice Wilkerson, Executive Director of Strong Future Maryland
  • Caleb Wolf, Policy Director for Wes Moore for Maryland
