Bright Spots: Local Leaders Inspiring Hope in America
Discover your voice at the 2019 Annual Conference on Citizenship — a two-day discussion on the challenges facing our civic and political cultures. Join practitioners, educators, nonprofit organizations and students from across the country to discuss democracy building and civic renewal strategies preparing for 2020 and beyond.

Hosted by the School of Public Policy and the National Conference on Citizenship, the conference is an opportunity to hear from a wide range of speakers on the nation's most pressing democratic issues. Come prepared to share your stories and your work to strengthen our democracy with a remarkable array of activists and reformers.

Highlights include a session on Civic Learning featuring John King, Former U.S. Secretary of Education and President & CEO of The Education Trust and the presentation of NCoC’s Citizen of the Year award to Desmond Meade, the founder and Executive Director of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition.
