Monica is the Assistant Director, Operations for the Do Good Institute. The Do Good Institute serves as the catalyst to transform the University of Maryland into the nation’s first Do Good Campus, where students are inspired to take action and spur innovations and solutions that tackle today’s social issues. As assistant director, operations, Monica leads critical DGI business and operations team. Overseeing all aspects of budgeting, finance, and operations for efficient and effective organization growth.

Monica first joined the Institute in 2018 as the business manager with years of experience working in business management, administration and finance. Prior to joining the Institute, Monica worked with the University of Maryland's Athletics Department for five years in several management, finance, and administration roles.

Prior to joining University of Maryland, Monica worked as a financial graduate assistant at Saint Francis University, where she audited, reconciled, budgeted and logged all departmental expenses for the athletics department. 

Monica holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Business Administration from Saint Francis University, and most recently earning the University of Maryland Nonprofit Management and Leadership graduate certificate. A Pennsylvania native, Monica lives in Howard County with her husband Sang and three children Joon, Jo, and Jona.
