Affiliations:

Jessica Moore Villavicencio is a communications coordinator within the Do Good Institute. In this role, she serves to increase awareness and recognition of the Institute’s programs and initiatives through various social media strategies and content creation.

Before joining Do Good, Jessica previously worked in television news at KSLA as their weekend Meteorologist. She forecasted several tornado outbreaks, record breaking hurricanes such as Laura and Delta, as well as the 2021 historical snow and ice storm in Louisiana. One accomplishment among many during the ice and snow storm broadcast was the Emmy nomination that followed. Jessica also managed the weather team’s social media pages and app to keep viewers updated on day to day weather changes. The highlight of her tv career was meeting Leslie David Baker from the office who mentioned he’d watched her forecast on tv the day prior.

Before her TV career, she was a graduate teaching assistant where she taught TV production 101 and tutored college athletes on the side. Jessica graduated from the rival schools, University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University getting her bachelors in Journalism and Masters in Meteorology. Outside of work, her passions include cooking all new cuisines, spoiling her miniature schnauzer Lilo, and playing the ukulele.
