A Conversation with Guy Guzzone '86, MPM '88 presented by ASPA

Join the Maryland chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) for a conversation with Maryland State Senator Guy Guzzone '86, MPM '88. Guzzone will speak about his career in public service and his current position as chair of the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee.  Registration is required.  Pizza is provided.

Sen. Guy Guzzone was first elected to the Maryland State Senate in 2014 after serving in the Maryland House of Delegates from 2007-2015. Prior to that, he served eight years on the Howard County Council. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee. 

Guzzone is the former State Director of the Sierra Club and has served on the Chesapeake Bay Commission, as a Trustee of the Chesapeake Bay Trust and as Chairman of the Kings Contrivance Village Board. He has volunteered for the past 17 years with the Neighbor Ride organization providing transportation for senior citizens in Howard County.  He has received a number of honors including the Outstanding Legislative Leadership Award from the Arc of Maryland,  the Legislative Champion Award from the Maryland Association of Community Services and the Legislative Superhero Award the Community Behavioral Health Association of Maryland. 

Guzzone received a BA in Economics and Government and Politics in 1986 and an Master's of Public Management in 1988 from the University of Maryland, College Park.
