Representative Tom Price on Federal Budget Process

House Budget Committee Chair Tom Price (R-GA) outlined a proposal to make improvements to the federal budget process which includes prohibiting the approval of continuing budget resolutions. In the 115th Congress, Representative Price would step down as the committee’s chair. President-elect Trump nominated him to be secretary of the Health and Human Services Department. After Representative Price’s keynote address, a panel discussion was held. Representative Todd Rokita (R-IN) participated from the audience at the Brookings Institution.
