Manjyot Ahluwalia is part of a new partnership with the Global Methane Hub, where she also serves as the regional lead for Asia. Prior to this role, Ahluwalia worked in international climate policy at World Wildlife Fund-US and the UN Environment Programme. At the World Wildlife Fund, she launched and managed one of the largest climate coalitions across Asia and Asia Pacific, Africa and the Americas consisting of over 6000 subnational and local governments, private sector, academia and civil society organizations committed to 1.5c aligned climate targets. This effort also involved supporting national governments to accelerate implementation of national climate and targets under the Paris Agreement. Ahluwalia is a member of the expert peer review group of the UN Race to Zero Campaign and has contributed to building the evaluation criteria to enhance the credibility and accountability of net zero initiatives of subnational and non-state actors.

Originally from India, Ahluwalia received her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from American University in Washington, DC. She also holds a M.S. in Sustainability from the School of Sustainability at Arizona State University and a B.A. in Economics from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, India.
