Jiawei Song is the Manager for China Program at the Center for Global Sustainability. Her work focuses on climate finance, climate and energy policy. She works with China program research leads on building a broader program to integrate collaborative action and analysis relevant to China’s energy and climate change policies.
Before joining CGS, Jiawei worked at the World Bank as a Climate Finance and Energy Specialist Consultant, where she conducted research on renewable energy deployment in developing countries, and helped deliver hundreds of millions of dollars energy sector investment, including solar, geothermal, battery storage and power sector reform, in African and South American countries. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Beihang University in Beijing, and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.
