Cali Moore graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with her BA in sociology and politics & government and was involved in a variety of service-learning opportunities and campus leadership roles as a student. After graduating, she worked in the Community Service Learning Office where she matched college students with service opportunities and managed a tutoring program in a local elementary school. She then moved to DC to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Horton’s Kids, where she worked with a K-6 tutoring program to provide mentors and education support to children living in one of the most at-risk neighborhoods in DC. Moore then had the opportunity to serve as the Eli Segal Fellow at the Corporation for National and Community Service, doing a variety of projects for the federal agency that administers all AmeriCorps programs. From there, she joined Service Year Alliance, an organization committed to creating opportunities for all young people to do a year of service to support communities across the country. She helped create resources for current members and provide opportunities for alums to leverage their service experience for future career or education opportunities.
